14 DAY TRIAL // We’re only days to go until the premiere of the fifth season of “Game of Thrones” on HBO, and what better way to prepare for that than by having a look at Jon Snow outside his element? Seth Meyers invited him (as played by British actor Kit Harington) to a modern-day dinner party, with very embarrassing results.
You can see the hilarious skit in the video below. It goes without saying that it’s part of the promo trail for the upcoming season. If you ask me, skits as hilarious as this are many times better than the traditional, rather boring face to face interview.
The gist is that Jon Snow has no idea how to carry himself in today’s society, where talk of death at the dinner table isn’t something that’s considered even remotely “ok.” Or of incest. Or of war. Or of most things that are common occurrences in GoT.
Still, Meyers is sorry for Jon because he has no friends, so he’s constantly providing him with feedback and pointers and what to say - and especially what not to say.
Though the dinner party kicks off on a very bum note, things eventually pick up with a game of charades and some flirting with one of the female guests, whose red hair reminds Jon of his “first love,” Ygritte. Don’t get your hopes too high for him, though: he still knows nothing.
