14 DAY TRIAL // Amidst speculation that Jon Gosselin is about to be sacked from his own reality show, the one that, not long ago, was getting audiences glued to their television screens, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” a new report has emerged, confirming that he is on his way out. Because of his recently more carefree lifestyle, TLC is holding Jon in violation of a morals clause in his contract with the network, TMZ informs.
Apparently, Mr. Gosselin has been seen on a many night out, drinking and socializing with many women, which goes against the loving and devoted father image he’s supposed to project with the reality show. Consequently, network executives have fired off a warning letter to him, letting him know that he’s either to change his ways and act more appropriately, or prepare to suffer the consequences, a post on the celebrity gossip website / paparazzi agency says.
Luckily, Jon is none too worried about it because he knew this was coming and, what’s more important, he acted in advance and started shopping around an idea for his own reality show. “We’re told TLC is not happy with Jon Gosselin, but Jonnie boy may not care, because he has his sights set on a new show. We’re told Jon is in talks with a major production company – Endomol – to appear in a show called ‘Divorced Dad’s Club.’ We told the show chronicles the lives of famous divorced fathers.” TMZ adds.
Inside sources tell TMZ that the only thing that’s troubling Jon right now is his contract with TLC, which might hold him back from getting started on the new show as soon as he’d like to. Other than that, it is being said, he sees absolutely no problem with being held in violation of a clause in the contract, mostly because he already has several other deals up his sleeve, as we also reported a few days ago, including endorsements and the new show he plans on doing all by himself.
On the premise that there’s never any smoke without a fire, one might as well note that this is the second time that rumors surface that TLC is unhappy with Jon Gosselin and is seriously considering cutting him out of the very show that put him on the celebrity map. “TLC is also extremely unhappy with their Ed Hardy-loving star, sources tell RadarOnline exclusively. TLC feels like they are being used by Jon. They want to send him a message loud and clear. The relationship between Jon and the network has become very strained. […] And while they will never admit it publicly, there has been talk by some executive at TLC about following Kate’s lead and divorcing Jon.” Radar wrote a few days ago, citing sources well familiar with the situation.
