After he was fired from reality television, in the aftermath of his messy divorce from Kate Gosselin, it didn’t take long for Jon Gosselin to slip off the radar. He’s now living in a cabin in the woods and, he says, has absolutely no contact with his ex.

Gosselin is now earning a living waiting tables and, in his first interview in a very long time, he says life after fame is definitely quieter but still pleasant.

He has no Internet connection and no TV, has hit rock bottom more than 20 times, but believes he’s on the right track.

However, all the bridges were burned when it comes to his ex-wife, who divorced him after he cheated on her.

“I don't have a relationship with Kate. There is no relationship. Text and email. That's it,” Gosselin says, as cited by Us Weekly.

They haven’t spoken to each other in almost 4 years, and both prefer it that way. Even when they get the kids, they manage to avoid interactions.

“The nanny comes out and I exchange the kids at her gate or at the bus stop. I don't physically see her,” Jon says.

As for who pays for the kids and whether he pays Kate child support, Jon sets the record straight: they both contribute in equal measure.

“[Kate and I] both support [the children] financially because she takes care of school and all that stuff, but I take care of the exact same things she takes care of. I buy their own groceries. They have their own groceries at my house, their own bedrooms, their own stuff. It's doubled,” he explains.

Kate recently sued Jon for breaking into her computer and stealing private information that he later sold to a third party, who included it in his book, which painted a very negative painting of the reality star.

If they’re not on speaking terms, chances are this too has a lot to do with it.
