Jon Gosselin says Kate Gosselin should be ashamed of dragging their kids into her mess by having them do interviews

Kate Gosselin brought her twins Cara and Mady with her on The Today Show, to allow them to say for themselves that being in reality television didn’t damage them in any way, but they refused to answer questions. Kate’s ex-husband Jon Gosselin sees in this awkward interview whatever proof he still needed that the kids are being manipulated by their mother.

The father of 8, who is now living away from the madness of showbiz (or so he claims, because he’s on a reality show right now), called in on TMZ after the interview aired on The Today, and he obviously had no nice things to say about it.

Below is a video with his statements for the celebrity gossip e-zine.

Stating what probably many who watched the interview thought, Jon says that he felt bad for the girls because it was obvious they were debating in their mind whether they should do what their mother had told them to at home, or do what they thought was right. Because they couldn’t decide, they “just shut down.”

“I felt really bad. I mean, I didn't care too much for Kate or whatever, but I felt really bad for Mady and Cara because I love them and they're just put in this situation. It was like deer in the headlights,” he says.

“It just kind of proves my point of Kate bringing the kids out instead of her just sort of doing it herself. It all blew up in everyone's face and I feel horrible for my children because now they're going to have to deal with the public,” Jon continues.

Jon also blames Kate for manipulating the girls to suit her own agenda, which, at this moment, involves trashing him in the press. Just last week, Kate had the girls do an interview with People magazine, in which they pretty much threw their dad under the bus, even saying that they hated how many girlfriends he brought to the house after the divorce.

Jon told Wendy Williams the other day, he dated exactly three women in that timeframe, and only two of them he had meet the kids.

“In my heart that's what I believe [that Kate is manipulating the kids], that's how I feel. Can I prove it? I can't prove it, but you can't take my feelings away from me. I feel that way,” he stresses.

Under the Jon Gosselin video is the interview that made him reach this conclusion. You be the judge.
