Maybe Couples Therapy, to help them be better co-parents

Jon Gosselin literally bombed his own career in reality television when, in the aftermath of a very bitter divorce from Kate Gosselin, he went to the media to claim that their 8 children were being exploited by TLC with Jon & Kate Plus 8. Also then, he swore he would never do a reality show again.

Of course, he’s broken this promise already, when he did Couples Therapy with his girlfriend, but it seems that Jon has also had a change of heart about working with his ex-wife, aka the woman he’s been accusing since of ruining their children’s life with her obsession to be famous.

The bottom line: he would not say no to an offer of doing another series with Kate.

Recent yard sale, the perfect occasion to reminisce on the good times

Last month, Kate held her annual yard sale, which she made sure to advertise on social media. Part of the proceeds from it went to a good cause, and the rest of her money into her pocket – and there was a lot of talk at the time that she was having serious financial issues, what with being a single mother of 8 and all.

Jon found out about the yard sale and he went to get back some of his stuff that Kate never returned to him after the divorce. He says in the video below that he bought back a video game, not because Kate asked him for money but because he really wanted to do something good by donating to charity.

Another thing that happened at the yard sale was that a camera crew was there: Kate is now shooting scenes for her new TLC series, so naturally, producers jumped at the chance to have her and Jon one-on-one again after all these years.

Presumably, they also chatted a bit on other topics than the kids, reminisced about the good ol’ times. And Jon is actually warming up to Kate again.

A new reality show? Sure, why not!

The truth is that he’s also in the gutter financially, so any offer for whatever reality show might be too good for him to turn down right now. He was recently evicted from his house and is now living in a very small apartment, which is so tiny that it’s not even suitable for when the 8 kids come over to visit.

A show with Jon and Kate reunited, no matter on what terms, would go for big bucks, so naturally, he’d do it. He even has an idea of what would work best.

“I would consider appearing on Couples Therapy’ with Kate,” he tells Life & Style magazine. Before you jump at this to say that he’s showing a bit too much confidence by assuming Kate would ever take him back as her partner, you should probably know that he didn’t even think of this that way.

“We’re divorced, but why can’t we co-parent? I was thinking Kate and I could do a televised sit-down with a doctor and work out our differences, because our kids are suffering,” he continues.

A hit show, no doubt

If such a show were ever made, if producers could talk Jon and Kate to put their differences aside to work together once more, it would be a smashing hit.

Kate has been getting lots of bad press since she became TLC’s most successful reality star, and Jon has been getting even more, but the combination of the two would probably prove irresistible for fans. First of all, there would be the satisfaction of knowing that those 8 kids finally had parents who could work together for their sake, instead of against each other.

Secondly, given the history between Kate and Jon, sparks are bound to fly in all directions. And apparently nothing is more captivating to watch these days than people airing their dirty laundry on TV.
