14 DAY TRIAL // Jon Gosselin, once considered the responsible parent in the Gosselin household, is feeling more and more threatened these days, especially after the divorce debacle. His public image has taken such a serious hit and his confidence is so low that he’s now befriending paparazzi and has even hired one to be his bodyguard, because he thinks he can confide in him and trust him, Fox411 says, citing sources close to the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star.
In doing so, Gosselin is going down the same route as Britney Spears did a while back, when she made two hangers-on her two best friends and advisors. Jon, on his part, is also feeling insecure and threatened, which is why he’d accept the company of anyone who talks trash of his soon to be ex-wife or openly approves of his recent actions, spies reveal. As such, he has just hired a paparazzo to be the main man of his security team, mistaking interest for friendship.
“Jon decided he needed to have a security team this summer after seeing Kate’s security team, led by Steve Nield. He wanted to go all out and make it seem professional, so he hired one of the paparazzi / photographers he became friends with to become his head of security. He met the guy and instantly trusted him with his safety. Gosselin is looking for acceptance now and he’d do anything to have people like him again. As it’s common knowledge, in recent months, his public image has been dragged through the mud after photos of him in the company of young women in Las Vegas started surfacing in the media. Things are so bad that not even Jon’s PR team dares tell him that what he’s doing is wrong and that, in order to clean up his image, he’d have to act differently.
