Fans have heard the rumors: Charlie Sheen’s character on “Two and a Half Men” will suffer a terribly violent death on the first episode of the new season. In a recent interview with KTLA, Jon Cryer talked about this particular report and what fans should expect from the new season.

As we also noted over the weekend, it is believed that there will be some “meat explosion” with Charlie’s death (more on this here, but *please be warned of spoilers), which will allow producers to bring Ashton Kutcher on board in his place.

Cryer denies there’s such a “meat explosion,” trying to make a few jokes about the rumor and eventually confessing that he’s not at liberty to discuss details on the plot, as the video here will confirm.

What he can say, though, is that the new season will be just as funny with Kutcher on board as it was with Sheen, with the plus that the atmosphere on set is now more relaxed.

“Ashton was amazing,” Cryer says of working with the young actor on the first episode, which taped last Friday in front of a live audience.

“He tore the roof off the place. The man works hard for the money. It’s a lovely vibe,” Jon adds in all earnestness.

Ashton’s wife, Demi, was also on set to support him on his big night. “She came on Friday night, looking fantastic as usual,” says Cryer.

In fact, he continues, he and Ashton have more in common than being on the same sitcom and their past experience as male models, of which Cryer spoke some time ago in a press statement.

“[Ashton] and I have a connection. His wife and I did my first movie [“No Small Affair”] together – when he was seven. I’m not joking! I hold it over his head a bit,” Jon explains.

The new season of “Two and a Half Men” premieres on September 19.
