In November last year, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, rocker Bon Jovi’s 19-year-old daughter, was rushed to the hospital after overdosing on heroin. Shortly afterwards, she was also arrested.

Getting a phone call from the hospital was “the worst phone call ever,” the rocker tells Katie Couric in a new interview. You can see it below in full.

“She's doing great and I appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers, [but] in short, that problem is much more prevalent... than I knew and I cannot get over how many people I've met that have said, ‘My son, my daughter’,” he says.

“There is a lot of pressure on kids these days. There's access to things my generation didn't have. I'm just blessed she's healthy and whole, and we'll get through it,” Bon Jovi adds.

In the same interview, he also talks about touring, longevity in the industry, staying true to the fans and his secret for looking so good after so many years.

He’s totally adorable when Katie asks him about that last part.
