Justin Bieber made a lot of headlines a short while ago when he kept fans at the O2 Arena in London waiting for over an hour before he showed up and claimed “technical difficulties” had made it impossible for him to perform on time.

Jon Bon Jovi isn’t buying his excuse, saying in a new interview cited by Radar Online that being late at a show is totally unprofessional and uncool.

It’s also bound to land you (or Bieber, in this case) on the wrong side with fans.

“Every generation has guys that do that, none of that is new. They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives — or in that kid’s case, 80 minutes of their lives,” the rocker says.

“Do it once, you can be forgiven. Do it enough times and shame on you. They won’t have you back. Then it just becomes a cliché. It’s really not cool — you’re an [expletive] hole. Go to [expletive-]in’ work!” Jon Bon Jovi adds.
