14 DAY TRIAL // Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are no longer together and yes, he did cheat on her with countless women, but the fault for the split lies all at Vanessa's door. He only cheated because she made him miserable, a new report in Us Weekly tries to argue.
Ever since before they confirmed their decision to go their separate ways, Johnny has been linked to many women in a strictly non-platonic way, from co-stars to random women, and even his publicist.
Us claims in its latest print issue (story via Lainey Gossip) that he did cheat and he did drift apart from her, but it was all her fault.
For years, Vanessa had been nagging him, always complaining, always miserable, never happy with anything he did, the tab writes, citing sources close to the former couple.
In the end, it pushed Depp away and into the arms of other women.
“Vanessa was so horrible and Johnny was so miserable that Johnny started drinking and he strayed with other women including 'allegedly, an extra on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean' (the last one),” LG writes after seeing the upcoming print issue of Us.
The reason why Johnny was miserable was because Vanessa kept pushing him to do things he did not want to do, like star in big budget movies, move to Los Angeles and leave their private island, go out more.
“[She] complained all the time about their low key lifestyle. She didn’t want to stay on a private island and quietly raise their babies. She was bored and restless. V was the one who wanted to move to LA and that’s when it all unraveled,” a source is quoted as saying.
“[She] was the one who insisted that he make big budget Disney movies because she loved the money. Johnny wasn’t interested but only did them for her,” adds the insider.
That didn't make her happy for long either because, when “Pirates” turned Johnny into one of the hottest and most bankable stars of the moment, she “resented” him for it.
“Nothing Johnny did was ever good enough for Vanessa. When he was working, she wasn’t happy. And when he wasn’t working, he was called a slob for not doing enough for the kids and her family,” adds the same insider.
As a side note, Lainey Gossip believes the above story comes with approval from camp Depp in an obvious bid to clear his reputation a bit after months of rumors about his midlife crisis and cheating ways.
LG says Depp and Us Weekly publisher Jann Wenner are good friends, which would explain the slanted angle.
