Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are said to be preparing for a very private wedding ceremony on his private island but, until that happens, he is busily negotiating the price of her wedding present: a gorgeous manor in England.

The Daily Mail reports that the Hollywood actor is looking to get a “jumpstart” on married life with the new home, which is located in Somerset, England and costs a fortune: insiders claim that the asking price for the Hadspen manor is of about $17-20 million (€12.5-14.7 million).

However, that’s not really that big a deal for one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors, especially when he seems to have finally found the woman to whom he wants to be married. Before Amber, Depp was involved in a 14-year relationship with singer, actress, and model Vanessa Paradis, but he always said he didn’t understand why a marriage certificate was needed.

According to the Daily Mail, Amber’s new digs boast “12 bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 850 acres,” and are described as “one of the prettiest manor houses in England.”

The estate would be in Amber’s name, but Johnny will be moving in with her as soon as possible.

“The stunning abode, which looks like it has been taken straight out of a Jane Austen novel, also features sprawling walled gardens and a shoot. All the extra bedrooms could come in handy too, if the news that the couple are hoping to have a baby are to be believed,” the Mail writes.

It also cites insiders as saying that Depp is “desperate” to become a father again but “Amber refuses to have a baby until they’re married, which was part of the reason behind the proposal.”

Johnny and Amber met and reportedly became romantically involved while working on “The Rum Diary” together. At that time, he was still with Vanessa but, shortly after they announced their separation, the rumors of a romance with Heard started picking up.

It is believed that he proposed to her sometime in late 2013 and that he has no plans to sign a prenup before they marry even though he’s one of the richest actors in Hollywood.
