Rock musician and author John Sullivan has recently announced the simultaneous co-release of two rock music projects: his first solo-fronted band's self-titled CD, THE JOHN SULLIVAN BRIGADE, and his first-ever rock music mystery novel, ROCK AND ROLL MURDER, according to PRNewswire.

The famous veteran of the New York indie rock music circuit has masterfully blended his energy and knowledge of rock and roll music into both a powerful full-length hard rock solo CD and a rock music murder mystery novel.

The self-titled CD features ten tracks written and arranged by Sullivan, who co-produced the effort with veteran New York producer Jim Sabella of Sabella Studios.

The born and raised New Yorker incorporates his gritty vocals, rhythmic piano playing and aggressive guitar work into a CD of introspection, passion and diversity.
From the punk-sounding "Bad Politician" to the "No Matter Where We Are" acoustic ballad, the new CD will interest both current alternative and classic rock fans alike.

Sullivan's first novel, ROCK AND ROLL MURDER, meshes together rock and roll history, New York City atmosphere and investigative police work into one action-packed, murder mystery tale. His knowledge of rock music history and insight as a local rocker gives readers a closer look into some of the unfamiliar and less glamorous tales within the rock and roll industry.
