In an interview with Fox Business, the controversial John McAfee, the founder of the world renowned IT security company, revealed that he supports NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.

“I’m behind his courage. He has the courage to actually do something knowing the risks, and now he’s on the run,” McAfee said.

McAfee talks from the perspective of a man who has been on the run from authorities. He believes that Snowden should have remained in Hong Kong.

“You can disappear into the back alleys of Hong Kong, you can become one of the masses. The Chinese government certainly has no interest in tracking him down, neither will they cooperate with any American agency,” he said.

Although he admits that the Chinese might have an interest in Snowden, McAfee believes they wouldn’t be so “harsh” on him as the Russians would be.
