John McAfee, the eccentric millionaire and founder of the McAfee antivirus company, says he’s happy with Intel’s decision to get rid of the McAfee brand name and replace it with Intel Security.

“I am now everlastingly grateful to Intel for freeing me from this terrible association with the worst software on the planet. These are not my words, but the words of millions of irate users. My elation at Intel's decision is beyond words,” John McAfee has told the BBC.

This isn’t the first time McAfee reveals that he’s fed up with the fact that his name is associated with the one of the IT security firm. Some time ago, he published a short video on how to uninstall McAfee antivirus from computers.

Of course, this goes both ways. McAfee (the company) wasn’t really thrilled with the fact that its founder went on an “adventure” in Belize, making numerous headlines worldwide because he ran from authorities after being wanted for questioning regarding the murder of his neighbor.
