John Malcovich to Star in Sci-Fi Movie

Edward R. Pressman Film Corp proudly announced that in early summer a new science fiction thriller starring John Malcovich will start shooting in England (mainly London) and the Isle of Man. The movie will be named "The Mutant Chronicles".

The action takers place in the future, when the last human survivors of the Earth face the mutants in a final clash on the surface of the dying planet.

Malkovich's character is Constantine, heads of council of four corporation-run countries that have pillaged Earth's natural resources. The movie focuses on the attempt made by an army of NecroMutants to seize the control of the few remaining resources. Constantine has to put together an army and, if the mutants by any chance win the, battle blow up the planet. After evicting the few important humans of the corporation net.

The good guy will be played by action hero Thomas Jane (The Punisher, the Stander). Jane is Mitch Hunter, chief in charge of the human army who turns against Constantine and the corporations and tries to get the resources for the humans and save the planet. The story is based on the popular role-playing board game.

Officials of the production company stated: "the film is more reminiscent of '28 Days Later' than 'Blade Runner". The budget will be a mere $30 million, as the same computer generated technique used for Miller and Rodrigues' Sin City will be used.
