Maybe the name of John Daly does not ring a bell for everyone. But as golf fans are concerned, he certainly is a familiar face. Although he didn't have an astonishing carrier so far, he did, however, manage to win two major titles, which makes him a pretty good golfer. Well, from now on, golf won't be the only thing Daly will be remembered for.


He admitted than he has a real problem with gambling. In the past 12 years, since he's been playing professional golf, he lost over 55 million dollars in the casinos. As written in his autobiography, one of the many moments when he lost a great deal of money was last year. After he failed to win the AmEx tournament in San Francisco, having to settle for second place after Tiger Woods, he took all his earnings - approximately 650.000 dollars - and threw it down the drain in a Las Vegas casino. Not only that, but he lost another 600.000 dollars the same night.

His gambling experience is a very long one indeed. For example, in 1991, after winning 100 dollars in Sun City, Daly went on to lose 150.000 dollars at blackjack, in the same night. And the examples can go on. Another problem for Daly was the fact that he has been married 4 times until now. Could that be linked to his gambling issues?
