John Cusack and Diane Lane Must Love Dogs

The two actors will be co-stars in the new romantic comedy for Warner Bros.

John Cusack and Diane Lane will play the main parts in the new romantic comedy written and directed by Gary David Goldberg for Warner Bros.

Actors Dermot Mulroney, Christopher Plummer, Stockard Channing, Elizabeth Perkins, and Ali Hillis will also star in the movie.

Diane Lane will portray Sarah Nolan, a recently divorced pre-school teacher, looking for love.

Eight months after the divorce, Sarah decides to swear off dating for good, as she had only bad dates, but her friends an family try to force her to date again by setting her up via the internet.

Sarah's sister places an ad on PerfectMatch.com which describes Sarah as voluptuous, stating that the other person, "Must love dogs."











John Cusack (the dating guru for the high school students in "Say Anything" and for the middle-aged losers in "High Fidelity") plays Jake, also recently divorced, pushed by his best friend to respond to Sarah's personal ad on the dating website.

Apparently the crew enjoyed working with very smart, beautiful dogs on the set.


"It was great to work with these dogs, but I had to have a Newfoundland. I wanted to keep the dogs afterward, and I did," the director said, according to comingsoon.com.
