Ever since Michael Jackson’s sudden death in June this year, estranged father Joe Jackson has been keeping a very high profile in the media, often doing interviews and media rounds to talk about his late son and plans for the children he left behind. However, he’s out for more than just media attention, as TMZ has learned that he’s made the first move towards getting a share of Michael Jackson’s Estate.

As fans must already know, in his will, Michael left his mother Katherine in charge of the estate and completely excluded Joe, with whom he had not been on speaking terms for months, as reports would have it. However, Joe feels injustice has been done to him, which is why he’s now asking a judge to grant him a monthly allowance from the Estate. He is “entitled to his own independent family allowance,” he says in court papers filed the other day.

Moreover, Mr. Jackson claims that the Estate “earned more than $100 million dollars in the first seven (7) weeks following Michael Jackson’s death,” which means it can very well afford to pay his allowance as well. To show that he really needs the money, Joe also lists his monthly expenses, which are as follows: “$15,425 in total: $2,500 eating out, $2,000 for air travel, $3,000 for hotel bills, $1,000 for groceries, $1,200 for rent, $50 in charitable contributions,” TMZ has learned.

The Michael Jackson Estate is considering now whether to grant Joe Jackson’s petition. In the meantime, though, he and son Randy Jackson are being accused of making death threats to a man who wanted to approach the Estate on the topic of the existence of an illegal child, the same media outlet has also learned. A restraining order has been issued against the man who claims to have proof that Michael had another child than the three who are now known to be legally his.

“In the docs, a man named Ronnie Newt claims he was threatened by Joe’s henchmen after he approached Joe with information that he believed proved Michael is the father of a 12-year-old boy named Prince Michael Malachi Jet Jackson. In the past, Newt told TMZ that Joe denied the kid was Michael’s. According to the documents, Newt claims ‘I was told to stay out of the M.J. love child story. That some one could get kill [sic] for that kind of money’. Newt also warns that if he turns up dead in the near future, authorities should suspect foul play.” TMZ writes of the death threats claim.
