The Somersby star is in negotiations to play the title role in "The Brave One," an urban suspense thriller for Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver, according to Variety.

Jodie Foster, who will next be seen in the airline thriller "Flightplan" on September 23rd and is currently filming for Spike Lee's "The Inside Man" alongside Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Christopher Plummer, may start working on the new project in winter.

The movie, drafted by Cynthia Mort ("The Guide"), is based on an original script by Roderick and Bruce Taylor.

The 43-year-old actress will play a woman who struggles to recover from a brutal attack and sets out on a dark, psychological and physical journey for revenge and justice.
