Jodie Foster Slams Lindsay Lohan's Mother Big Time

Team Lohan is being kicked again in the nuts and this time it's Jodie Foster who's doing the kicking. In fact, I think rooting for either Lindsay or her disfunctional parents has become something of a national debate or a weird kind of national sport. Who's to blame for Lindsay's hard fall into drugs and alcohol? Is Lindsay a mean bitch all on her own, or has her family in fact exploited her and her success and allowed her to turn from a princess fairy into a witch? Everybody seems to have an opinion - and according to Jodie Foster, it all started from her mother.

Yes, evil Dina will so hate this. I can almost see her walking round and round her living room, steam gushing out of her ears and planning a smart-ass reply to Jodie's accusations. The fact is, it sort of makes sense what Foster says, considering that her career as an actress also took off when she was a child and that she managed to turn into one of the most successful actresses to date.

"Can I just ask, where is her mother? I mean, really, where is her mother?" Foster demands. "When I was their age, there were no big 18-year-old stars... Now, we want the 17-year-olds so we can bleed them for all they're worth and squeeze as much money as we possibly can out of them - and then their career will be over in something like three years". Ouch! That's gotta hurt, Dina, admit it. She almost had the nerve to make it sound like you have been in fact trying to milk your daughter's career for all it's worth and didn't pay too much attention to what was going on to Lindsay herself in the meantime. That's just outrageous - you would never do something like this, would you?

And while we're left pondering and waiting for Dina's indignant reply, we should consider that Lindsay is indeed a trainwreck in her own right, but unlike Britney for example people won't be so keen to give her second chances, especially after she failed to clean up her act in rehab. So far, despite trying to show the world a respectable face, she only managed to appear even more fame-hungry than before, staging photo shoots, doing drugs and having sex and just...well, being Lindsay Lohan. So, it may well be that the damage is done and really, if Lindsay can't clean up and keeps up the drug binging, it won't matter whose fault it is - it won't make her any less dead.
