The death penalty decision might be delayed as the defense asks for a January court date

Jodi Arias has appeared in court once more and this time she has dressed down. She left her elegant two-piece ensembles aside and donned a striped prison jumpsuit.

Arias was shackled during her hearing, ABC News reported. Her attorney asked for the next trial date to be set in January 2014.

As I mentioned previously, the judge has to decide whether or not to give the convicted killer the death penalty.

She has been found guilty in May in the murder trial for the death of boyfriend Travis Alexander, whom she stabbed repeatedly and shot in the bathroom of his home.

She has been ruled eligible for the death sentence last month, after originally claiming that she would prefer dying rather than living in prison for the rest of her life.
