To find matching employers

The job seekers are now turning to YouTube and create video presentations of their jobs to find matching employers. The best example was provided by the Chicago Tribune, a publication that presented Fallon Rechnitz, a job seeker who posted her clip on YouTube. According to the website, Rechnitz recorded a 30-second clip to be sent to potential employers but the best idea was to upload it on famous online video sharing services such as YouTube.

"I feel like my personality is what really seals the deal and if they can see my personality, I'd get a better chance of getting the job," said Rechnitz according to the Chicago Tribune.

This procedure is useful for both employees and companies because they are able to embed a clip straight in the email or just attach the link. Because YouTube is one of the most popular services on the Internet, many candidates for a certain job are able to view the opening and send their application to the company. I think it would be a great idea for YouTube to open a special channel hosted by the company that will allow the companies to post their job openings and attract more potential employees.

In the recent period, YouTube opened a lot of channels but most of them were meant to respond to the rival products. Take the example of the recently created bishops' channel that was designed to reply to GodTube. As you might know, GodTube is a YouTube-like video sharing service that contains only Christian and church-related content that aims to attract only a certain segment of users. However, YouTube managed to face the rivals and it remains the leader of its category as long as no other products bring something new and innovative.
