In case you’re looking for a job online, beware of emails that advertise offers with Disney Cruise Line. Experts have spotted a scam that’s designed to trick people into handing over personal information and money.

The emails identified by Hoax Slayer are entitled “Disney Cruise Line job offer” and they read something like this:

“Complements of the season; We want to inform you that we are hiring candidates that will work with Disney Cruise Line [Australia] under the job Identification Number EU/DCL/00867-13. The total recruitment will be 205 applicants. Minimum Age requirements is 18-years and above.

We need serious applicants that have the ability to work hard and must agree to abide by the company rules and regulations. Working onboard a cruises ship does require discipline. Salary depends on the position you’re applying for and your experience. Salary ranges from 3,120-EURO and above.”

The emails have nothing to do with Disney Cruise Line. Those who respond will be asked to fill out a job application form with all sorts of personal details.

In addition, the crooks behind such job scams usually try to convince victims to pay them advance fees that are allegedly needed for things such as insurance and police checks.

In most cases, the scammers continue requesting money until the victim seems willing to cooperate.

Of course, users are told that they will be fully reimbursed. In reality, there’s no job offer and victims are unlikely to ever get their money back.

That’s why you are advised to treat all job offers advertised via unsolicited emails with maximum suspicion. Legitimate companies post their job offers on specialized websites or on their own official sites.

Always check out the legitimacy of a job offer before applying. It will save you a whole lot of trouble.
