American comedienne Joan Rivers slammed actress Katie Holmes, saying she's "talentless" and she would better hang on to Tom, if she wants to be really famous some day.

Rivers, 72, declared for Britain's New magazine that she doesn't know if Tom Cruise really loves Holmes, but he has definitely boosted her career.

As Rivers stated: "Well, each woman has done very well by him - Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz.
So this one, Katie Holmes, who doesn't seem to have much talent, is probably the luckiest of all. I saw her in 'Batman Begins' and, let's just say, she better hang on to Tom for a while!"

When asked what's her opinion on the pop princess Britney Spears, Joan labeled the singer as being "white trash", arguing she's not interested on the lower classes.

Britain's New magazine: "Who cares? She's white trash. The lower classes never intrigue me, not interested. Get educated!"

The 72-year-old added: "I have more respect for Joan Crawford, who learned to set a table, than I have for the ones who say, 'You come down to my level'.
No, no, no. You've made your money, you've gotten your fame, now learn to live graciously."
