Joan Rivers is speaking out on The Today Show debacle: if you ask her, which Huffington Post Live did, Ann Curry is just as much to blame for the dwindling ratings as Matt Lauer is. She is boring and he is too much of a bully.

After talking about how she’d never apologize for saying Adele was fat (because she is, we might as well face reality, Rivers says), the comedienne talked about Curry and The Today Show.

“Ann Curry? With all due respect… [snores]. I used to scream at the set, ‘Shut up, [B-word]!’,” Rivers says of what she thought of Curry on air.

Because of this, she can’t but side with Lauer in a way.

“I think they’re blaming it all on [Matt Lauer] and it’s very unfair. She’s a very nice woman and I’ve heard Matt is a toughie,” Rivers says.

As for what the problem with The Today is, Rivers believes it has less to do with Lauer and Curry, and more with the fact that “it’s being run by a lot of white men” who went to Ivy League schools and “didn’t keep up with the times.”

The HuffPo has videos: see here for Rivers’ comments on Ann Curry, and here for her explanation on why she won’t apologize for saying Adele is fat.
