Jimmy Kimmel strikes again, breaking the hearts of kids across America with his terribly cruel but absolutely hilarious Halloween candy prank, pulled on them by their very own parents. This is the third year that he holds the YouTube challenge.

You can see the resulting video, which has already gone viral, embedded above.

If you haven’t heard of Kimmel’s Halloween prank yet, I’ll fill you in on the details: the talk show host asks parents to tell their kids they ate (“accidentally” or on purpose) all their Halloween sweets and then to tape their reaction.

Kimmel goes through every video that is uploaded online and then picks the best for a fine selection that airs on the show after the holiday. The third year did not fail to include some totally predictable but still funny reactions from kids, but also surprisingly mature responses.

However, all kids in this video forgave their parents when they told them that it was all just a joke. Not the same can be said for Kimmel, with one child even saying that he “hates” him for being so cruel.
