New episode of Lie Witness News is hilarious, as usual

Whether they’re entirely fake, partially staged, or 100 percent legit, Jimmy Kimmel’s Lie Witness News segments are always hilarious so, at the end of the day, perhaps it doesn’t even matter how real they are.

Above is the latest, on the topic of Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVIII, which saw the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos duke it out for the big prize on the MetLife stadium in New Jersey. The Seattle Seahawks won.

Kimmel set out to prove that more people claim to watch the Super Bowl than they actually do, so he sent out a reporter in the streets with a series of questions about things that didn’t happen, not at this edition nor ever.

You’d be surprised to see how many actually pretended to know what they were talking about in offering vague but still on-topic answers.

Of course, there are rumors that these segments are entirely scripted, but my advice is not to let that spoil the fun. That last guy is particularly funny and honest: a guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do.
