The world is still drooling over the first trailer of the highly anticipated movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which is why comedian and Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon decided it was a good opportunity to prank the members of his house band, The Roots.

In a short video posted by NBC, Fallon comes in to explain to audiences that he asked each member of The Roots to watch the trailer on his own and give his opinion afterwards. The condition was that they watch it in a controlled environment, where their reaction would be taped.

Little did they know that Fallon had cunningly snuck one of those Internet scary faces in the trailer, you know the type – the ones that used to freak you out too during the infamous scare maze fad.

True to their word, the members sat down in front of a laptop, with headphones on, ready to give their best critics for the trailer starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. Little did they know that something scary was in store for them.

Their reaction can be seen in the short video below, and the only thing we're going to say is that it never gets old to scare the pants off your friends. Questlove in particular got a big scare out of the whole thing, all with hilarious results.
