You wouldn’t think that Jim Carrey could ever make a joke that would offend millions of Americans, but this is precisely what happened with his latest Funny Or Die skit. One particularly upset fan even took to eBay to protest over it.

First off, the video: mocking Charlton Heston and all other gun enthusiasts, it features Carrey pulling double duty as both singer and Heston himself, as he illustrates the downsides of owning a gun – not to mention more than just one.

The moment it was posted online, gun lovers from all over the US reacted.

One former fan found an interesting way to show his disapproval of Carrey’s video, by listing an autographed picture of the actor on eBay, with the caption ““Jim Carrey Autographed 8X10 Photo So I Can Afford a Gun!”

THR writes that the man also explained that he wanted to sell the photo as a consequence of seeing the video. It also notes the listing and the bids on the picture have disappeared.

The seller’s description now reads, “I'm selling this Jim Carrey autographed B&W photo (mint condition) for purposes I cannot explain because it might be against eBay's Terms & Conditions.”
