South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is one of the companies set to bring to the market new handsets running under the Windows Phone Mango operating system, and some info on what might be one of these has started to emerge.

The handset in question is none other than the LG E906 smartphone that made an appearance last month, which is now said to be headed to shelves in a specific, unique design.

The Windows Phone Mango-based LG smartphone is said to come to the market with a case designed by the German fashion house Jil Sander.

LG E906's UAProfile emerged last month with hints at a Windows Phone-based device that seemed to resemble a lot with the already available Optimus 7 (LG E900), but with the next flavor of Windows Phone loaded on it, namely Mango.

Apparently, the device should indeed be an Optimus 7 flavor that not only runs under Mango, but also features the said unique design.

As can be seen on the photos attached to this article, courtesy of Pocketnow, the upcoming LG E906 sports differently looking Windows Phone buttons, as well as a modified back plate.

Other than that, however, there should be little differences between the two handsets, it seems.

One of the available photos also shows that the mobile phone was loaded with the Windows Phone Mango build 7706, which is a software release that precedes the RTM build (7720).

Since the software on the new LG smartphone was clearly updated, and the looks of this new device are different from last year's Windows Phone-based Optimus 7, chances are that the handset vendor has performed a series of modifications to the device's hardware specs as well.

For the time being, however, no specific info on the matter has emerged, though it might not be too long before that happens, since the first Windows Phone Mango devices are expected to become official starting with the next week.
