Actress made the announcement very subtly on the red carpet at the Oscars 2012

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied are married. The two, who tied the knot in a secret ceremony, made the announcement in a very subtle manner, on the red carpet at the 2012 Academy Awards.

Confirmation of the happy news comes from the jeweler who designed their wedding bands, via People magazine.

As we also noted yesterday, on the red carpet at the prestigious movie awards, Natalie and Benjamin, who have been together since they met on the set of “Black Swan,” wore what looked like matching wedding bands.

The two also have a child together, a baby boy named Aleph.

Knowing how Natalie doesn't really like talking about herself, let alone issue a press statement when something major occurs in her life, it made sense to assume she'd gotten married in secret.

“Adding fuel to the fire, jeweler Jamie Wolf confirmed today that she designed Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied’s 'wedding rings,' she shares in a release,” People reports.

Jamie Wolf is the same jeweler who helped Benjamin design the conflict-free diamond ring he offered to Natalie when he proposed to her.

“Wolf created two diamond rings for Portman, made to fit on either side of her engagement ring, and a platinum band for Millepied,” People says.

“Both baubles are eco-friendly, made with recycled metals and conflict-free diamonds,” adds the same celebrity publication.

While Wolf has confirmed that the wedding bands are real, she doesn't say when the ceremony took place and doesn't offer more details about it.

Fans of the actress will probably have to wait for her to say something about it to find out this kind of things.

As noted above, Natalie and Benjamin met on the set of the movie that also won her her first Oscar, “Black Swan.”

They dated quietly for a while and then, in December 2010, she announced she was both pregnant and engaged.

Aleph, their first child, was born in 2011.
