Intel might still have dominance on the CPU market in terms of sales volumes, but AMD has been seeing its Fusion APUs quite well received, with a certain model now confirmed to be on track for a Computex launch.

AMD's Fusion platform has, so far, been mostly limited to the netbook and ultraportable PC market, because of the specs of the Ontario and Zacate APUs.

Still, in these areas, said APUs have been making the best of their graphics advantages and the fact that Fusion netbooks aren't restricted to the 10.1-inch form factor as Intel Atom-based ones.

That said, Jetway will soon become the provider of the most recently-released notebook based on the AMD E-350 Zacate chip.

The dual-core product has a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz but, unfortunately, most of the other hardware is still under wraps.

Granted, some photos of the laptop, Ecomani EM130A did get unveiled, but they only show the connectivity and such, not how much RAM or storage exists.

Then again, considering how most of the specs for such machines are standard, so to speak, it can be assumed that 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM are present, along with an HDD and whatever else.

The folks over at VR-Zone even feel like Jetway's project has a solid chance of overshadowing the MSI X370, which we also covered here.

Either way, there is an HDMI port on the side, meaning that Full HD media will be easy to stream to an auxiliary monitor or HDTV.

Also, a D-Sub connector is present, along with Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports, an USB 3.0 connector and even an optional biometric fingerprint scanner.

Finally, the lid has an aluminum back, meaning that the newcomer is a bit heavier than it otherwise would be. Either way, Computex will bring more details.
