JetBlue Airways Releases Dedicated iPhone App

As Quantas is kicking off its wireless inflight entertainment program, JetBlue Airways is encouraging frequent flyers to download their new jetBlue app and get instant access to itineraries, flight status information, in-flight entertainment, and even snacks.

The app works with all iPhones and iPads that support iOS 4.0 and allows you to search for and book flights right from your mobile device, and then get a check-in reminder 24 hours before your flight.

You receive real-time flight updates via push notifications, and you can see relevant details about your upcoming flight, based on where you are in your travel window.

The DIRECTV schedule for your flight is accessible right from within the app. You can set reminders for what you want to watch, as well as check out a listing of SiriusXM Satellite Radio channels.
