25-year-old Rachel Evans says she was shocked to see the face of the Son of God in her pet terrier's wet ear

Jesus is well known for appearing on toast, on tree logs and even on people's bruised toes or other body parts every now and again. Heck, some might even be tempted to accuse him of being desperate for attention.

Still, it's not all that often that the Son of God chooses wet fur as the perfect medium for him to reveal himself to the world. Mind you, this does not mean that things like this can't happen.

On the contrary, it was just days ago that a woman in the UK was shocked to find Jesus staring at her from inside the ear of her freshly bathed pooch, a Yorkshire terrier by the name of Dave.

The appearance took the woman by surprise

It is understood that the woman, identified as 25-year-old Rachel Evans, only realized that the Son of God was carefully watching her from inside Dave's left ear when looking at some photos she took right after bathing the pooch.

Much to her surprise, the woman could not help but notice that the wet fur in Dave's ear looked very much like the face of Jesus. Rachel Evans showed the photos to her partner, 28-year-old James Williams, who saw the fur portrayal of the Son of God as well.

“I was a bit freaked out to be honest,” 25-year-old Rachel Evans commented on this incident in an interview, as cited by Wales Online. “I am a bit superstitious and it’s quite spooky,” the woman went on to detail her reaction to this peculiar incident.

Not at all surprisingly, Jesus disappeared without warning as soon as the Yorkshire terrier was all dried up. Apparently, he does not care all that much for making appearances inside the ears of perfectly fresh and clean pooches.

Seeing Jesus on mundane objects is perfectly OK

Contrary to what some might assume, seeing the Son of God inside a dog's ear or on mundane objects like pieces of cloth does not proof of insanity make. In fact, scientists say that it is perfectly normal.

In a report published in last year's May, researchers who have taken the time to study such occurrences explain that the brain is hard-wired to identify facial features. Every once in a while, stimuli are poorly interpreted and faces appear out of the blue.

“It's common for people to see non-existent features because human brains are uniquely wired to recognize faces, so that even when there's only a slight suggestion of facial features the brain automatically interprets it as a face,” specialist Kang Lee of the University of Toronto said at that time.
