Jessica Simpson to Unveil Post-Pregnancy Figure on Katie Couric’s New Show

As many of you may remember, Jessica Simpson was put under a lot of pressure while pregnant because of what many perceived to be a considerable weight gain. Shortly after birth, she teamed up with Weight Watchers to shed the extra pounds – and she’s getting ready to unveil her new figure as we speak.

After months of speculation, rumors and badmouthing, Jessica will be unveiling her new, slimmer and more toned body on Katie Couric’s new daytime talk show.

Mark your calendars for September 10 to see her live, The Hollywood Reporter says.

“When Katie Couric returns to TV on Sept. 10, she'll do so with Jessica Simpson and Sheryl Crow by her side,” the e-zine notes.

“Couric's premiere episode will feature Simpson discussing such challenges as losing her baby weight, getting past nasty rumors and balancing a young child and a career, while Crow opens up about entering the next phase of her life and career as a 50-year-old single mother,” adds THR.

Simpson gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named Maxwell, earlier this year and she’s been in hiding ever since.

The paparazzi occasionally snap her as she’s heading into the gym to work off the extra pounds, but she always makes sure she’s bundled up to prevent them from getting a good shot of her.

All this secrecy has a purpose, as you can imagine: reports online say that Simpson signed with Weight Watchers for a whopping $4 million (€3.1 million).

Even if she’s getting only half of this reported amount, it makes sense for her to save the big unveil for a time and place approved by the weight loss company: and it seems that Weight Watchers has spoken in favor of Katie Couric.

Simpson is engaged to be married to Eric Johnson, the father of her child. If we’re lucky, she’ll also spill the beans on her wedding plans in the same interview.
