Jessica Simpson seems to be on her way back to the glitzy world of cinematography and, this time, she might even make it. Or not. For some reason or another, this star is really set on making a name for herself in the movie industry and nothing can possibly convince her that, well, she wouldn't know good acting if it came and bit her on that gorgeous toosh of hers!

If one were to enumerate the many movies in which Jessica Simpson (who is, as I have said before and will say again, a good singer, better than most) starred, only two of them come instantly to mind: 'Employee of the Month' and 'Blonde Ambition', both of which sucked as hard as no other movie has sucked before. Yes, 'Glitter' and 'Gigli' included, both of which are the epitomes of really bad acting turned catastrophe.

Contrary to what one might think, there still are a couple of directors out there who would be willing to risk it all and feature Jessica Simpson in one of their movies. One such man is C.L. Gregory, who is currently preparing to enter production mode with one film that is bound to go down in history. The budding project is called 'The Kentucky Fried Horror Show' and it deals with (brace yourselves!) a bunch of college kids on spring break who get involved in some killing cult. I know, I know, this has happened to you already! Gregory's excuse (there is always one of these) is that, quote, 'I wanted to put the grind back into grindhouse'.

However, the director has already picked his main star: Jessica Simpson, but so far, negotiations are only in an initial stage. Says Gregory of his choice of leading lady: 'I felt that the script needed someone that could carry the weight of its character and without doubt, Jessica was my first and only consideration for the role. She's never done a horror film to date and we felt she was ready for a project like this as it will be a very emotional and demanding piece of work for her. But I don't see anyone who can pull it off better than Jessica Simpson.'

These being said, there's only one thing I could add: if Jessica says yes, I hope she gets slashed in the first ten minutes of the flick. Now, that's good acting! Just ask Carmen Electra.
