Jessica Simpson to Postpone Wedding Because of Weight Gain

Jessica Simpson has gained some weight again. The star, who has struggled with her yo-yo-ing weight for some time, is rocking some extra pounds – and she’s getting so desperate that she can’t be in top shape for her wedding to Eric Johnson that she’s thinking of postponing the ceremony.

Months ago, Simpson hired top celebrity personal trainer Tracy Anderson in a bid to shift the extra weight and get her old body back just in time for the ceremony.

With a date (unconfirmed) set for November 2011, the clock is ticking and, as InTouch Weekly (story via here) points out, Jessica is gaining weight instead of dropping the pounds.

She’s too busy to stick to her diet and workout routine, so she’s thinking about pushing back the ceremony until she gets some time for herself, to make sure she gets to the desired weight.

“Instead of losing weight, Jessica has gained it. She works so much that she doesn’t have the time to spend with Tracy Anderson,” a pal of the star says for the celebrity magazine.

She doesn’t have time to work out and eats whatever and whenever she can. Inevitably, the pounds crept on and, by the time she realized what was happening, it was too late, adds the tipster.

“She’s always eating on the go. She gave herself one year to get in perfect shape, but now the wedding is just a few months away – and she’s panicking,” the pal goes on to say.

Because Simpson doesn’t believe she could actually get to her ideal weight in the 3 remaining months, she wants to push back the ceremony, afraid that she won’t look good in her wedding gown on the big day.

“She was rethinking her plans because she fears that she won’t look good in a wedding dress. She wants to postpone,” the insider explains.

However, there might be a problem: reservations and all arrangements for the ceremony have already been made, and it would be impossible to push everything back.

“Jessica and Eric have already block-booked rooms at the ritzy St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kauai, Hawaii, and charters a private jet to fly out their guests,” InTouch writes.

So, for the time being, everything is “on hold,” the spy further says.
