Jessica Simpson isn’t taking her new, post-pregnancy diet lightly. She signed with Weight Watchers before she gave birth to her first child and now, four months on the program, she can already boast of being nearly as thin as she was before she became pregnant.

As any respectable celebrity gossip lover must know, Simpson’s weight has been tabloid fodder for these past few years, even before she got pregnant.

It didn’t change when she was expecting either, which means she’s perhaps the only celebrity out there truly entitled to say “there’s a lot of pressure to lose weight.”

Consequently, the announcement that she was the latest face of Weight Watchers did not come as a surprise. Neither does it come as a surprise to hear it’s already working.

In a new interview with Us Weekly, the former pop star turned very successful businesswoman says that she sticks to the program by the letter: there’s no room for cheating with Weight Watchers.

Jessica’s day starts at 7 a.m., when she wakes to feed her daughter and has breakfast: “half a Flatout flatbread sandwich with egg whites, peppers and fat-free cheddar (6 PointsPlus).”

She starts exercising shortly afterwards: from 8 to 11 a.m., Jessica takes long walks with her fiancé Eric Johnson and their adorable bundle of joy, after she which she meets up with her personal trainer for something a bit more challenging.

“Four days a week, Simpson reports to trainer Harley Pasternak for a 45-minute session. After a cardio warm-up, it’s circuit time: seven sets (up to 30 reps each) of dumbbell triceps extensions, hamstring curls and crunches with a medicine ball throw,” Us Weekly rights.

Pasternak says Jessica is already sensing the results of the workout. They are visible to the naked eye as well.

“I make lunch my biggest meal to keep me full through the day,” Jessica explains. Her favorite is “spinach salad with 4 ounces of chicken satay and pear (8 PointsPlus).”

After lunch, she takes another walk with Maxwell or hits the treadmill to burn some more calories while watching her favorite TV show, “24.”

For dinner, Jessica has “fish often (4 ounces of halibut or tilapia) with roasted eggplant, broccoli or asparagus (6 PointsPlus). And for dessert? Skinny Cow chocolate truffle bars (3 PointsPlus).”

Jessica Simpson says she’s almost down to her pre-pregnancy figure, with only 10 pounds (4.5 kg) more to go. Of course, she credits Weight Watchers for helping her get here.
