These past few weeks, Jessica Simpson has been putting in countless hours at the gym, prompting speculation she was getting ready for the wedding to fiancé Eric Johnson. Don’t jump to conclusions, she says on her Twitter page: she’s always taken care of herself.

It’s no longer a secret that Jessica has gained some weight recently, having even become a sort of unofficial spokesperson / role model for curves.

When celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, who’s worked in the past with the likes of Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, confirmed for several publications that she’s been hired to work with Jess, talk began of how she (Jess) was on a mission to get in shape for the wedding.

Being photographed almost daily coming out of the gym did nothing in terms of making said rumor come to an end – on the contrary actually.

Since countless media outlets have taken photos of Simpson going to the gym as confirmation that she was bent on losing weight for the wedding, she’s taking to her Twitter to set the record straight.

People should really pay less attention to her daily routine, she says. However, if they choose not to do that, they should at least know that she’s is not losing weight for the wedding.

For all she cares, she and Eric could get married in sweatpants right now, she says.

“Yes, I am working out, but why is that worth any sorta press? I always take care of myself. Eric and I could get married right now in sweats!” the reality star writes.

This can only mean that, while Simpson is determined to be fitter again, it’s not the impending wedding that’s got her thinking of it but rather the need to lead a healthier life.

“She is in the mindset that this is a big, forever lifestyle shift. Jessica has a killer body, but when she goes up to two hours, six days a week, then you will really see her transform,” Anderson said a short while ago, as we also informed you.

In order for this transformation to happen, Simpson is at the gym four days a week for 75-minute sessions with Anderson.
