Jessica Simpson and Billy Corgan Are Making Music Together

Back in December last year, rumor got out that pop star Jessica Simpson and rocker Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins were romantically involved, with sources even saying that she was head over heels in love. Though neither star has addressed these reports in any way, Jessica has just confirmed that they are working on music together, as People magazine informs.

The singer has posted a couple of shots taken by a professional photographer while she was in the studio with Corgan. She says nothing of the alleged romance, but she professes to be “blessed” to have the opportunity to work with him. Simpson also says it’s “fun to be lost in laughter,” hinting that she and the 42-year-old rocker also connect on another level than artistically.

“Sidestepping rumors of a romance with Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan, Jessica Simpson is admitting to enjoying a different kind of hook-up: an artistic one. Though the stars have stayed quiet on rumblings that they’re a romantic item, Simpson, 29, writes on Twitter that the pair are collaborating on their music,” People writes. However, word in the blogosphere has it that the two are clearly an item, if Jessica’s loved-up, lost gaze is any indication to go by.

The above-mentioned magazine too insists that they’re not just two artists working on a bunch of new songs, saying sources can confirm Jess and Billy have been an item for more than just two months, as reported in the tabloid press. “A source tells People that the unlikely couple have been dating for about four months – longer than has been reported in the media – and that they met in a neighborhood where one was living and the other was staying with a friend. ‘He got her number and starting calling her,’ the source says. ‘He thought she was cute... adorable... and she got a little crush’,” the magazine writes.

For the time being though, neither whether they’re an item nor what they’re working on in the recording studio is known. It could very well be that Corgan is helping Simpson make her comeback on the pop scene, a likely move even if she said last year she would be taking a break from the music industry.
