According to late news, singer and actress Jessica Simpson will spend her third marriage anniversary alone, without her hubbie Nick Lachey, fueling the rumors that the couple may split up.

Jessica will celebrate the date later this month in Nairobi, Africa, where she has to promote her charity Operation Smile, which aims to raise money for children born with cleft lips in the deprived region.

Then, the singer will meet her father Joe and personal assistant Cacee Cobb, to go on a safari, again without Nick.

During the past weeks, the couple battled with the media, trying to deny their split and rumors about Nick's infidelity with a college student, Danielle Calo, or with the girlfriend of Lachey's best pal Chad Leslie.

The pair's spokesperson denied all the allegations, claiming the couple will not split up, and Nick is only missing the trip because of prior commitments.

The spokesperson said: "Nick will be unable to join Jessica on the trip because of work commitments in Los Angeles."
