Jessica Simpson Is Trying to Get Pregnant

Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo have been dating since November 2007. Moreover, given that the two are constantly hounded by the paparazzi, it was only to be expected that rumors of a marriage or future pregnancy occurred, especially when she seems to have gained a couple more pounds since her latest public appearance.

Even if Jessica quit making pop music to focus on country and her acting career, she is still America’s number one blonde girl. This, of course, would explain why the public is constantly interested in her personal life. According to a reported friend of the star, she will not get married anytime soon but, for what it’s worth, she is considering having a child with Tony – and as soon as possible.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Jessica makes an announcement that she’s pregnant very, very soon.” a source told the US media after another report had it that Jessica was recently heard saying that she was “actively trying for a baby.” Whether she and Tony also plan to make their relationship official once the baby is born, if there is one to speak of, is not yet certain.

The wanting to get pregnant rumor, if accurate, would fit perfectly with Jessica’s recent weight gain, it has been pointed out. Performing at the 99.9 KISS 24th Annual Chili Cook Off at the CB Smith Park in Florida on Sunday, Jessica unveiled a much plumper figure than she got audiences familiar with, and certainly a far cry from her svelte figure as Daisy Duke in “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Nevertheless, as of now, no official connection between the extra weight and a possible pregnancy has been made.

As for Jessica’s other artistic endeavors, she is currently preparing for the straight to DVD release of her movie “Major Movie Star,” which, allegedly because of the poor reception it got, has been renamed “Private Valentine: Blonde and Dangerous.” Jessica is also said to be considering a pantomime show in London but, again, no confirmation for this is available either.
