Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are about to add another member to the family, a little over 7 months after welcoming daughter Maxwell into the world. The pregnancy was not planned, says a new report.

Us Weekly claims to have it on very good authority that the two are positively over the moon at the thought of having another child, even though it was not planned.

“Christmas is still nearly four weeks away, but Jessica Simpson got her biggest — and totally unexpected! — present early: Another baby on the way! Seven months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson, the star is once again expecting,” the mag writes in its online preview issue.

“It definitely wasn’t planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again,” an insider confirms for the publication.

As noted above, Jessica and Eric had their first child on May 1, 2011. They have been engaged for almost two years, with Jessica once saying they would only get married after Maxwell was born and she could fit into her wedding dress again.

Speaking of which, ever since she gave birth, Jessica has been getting plenty of media attention for her weight, particularly after signing with Weight Watchers to get back in shape.

Reports online suggest that she’s lost 70 pounds (31.7kg) on the program, but Jessica herself once admitted she overindulged in everything while pregnant, thinking she could make the most of the experience in all ways possible.

Us Weekly has contacted Jessica and Eric for confirmation on the alleged pregnancy but, for the time being, it has not heard back from either.

Just a short while ago, the singer turned incredibly successful fashion designer, was gushing about the joys of motherhood, saying how it had come to make her life wonderfully complete.

“Motherhood is a dream. It really is absolutely amazing,” she said in a recent interview, as cited by Us.
