Jessica Simpson Is Pregnant, Reports Say

Jessica Simpson recently became engaged to her boyfriend of 6-months, former NFL player Eric Johnson. That and recent pictures of the two at the airport have sparked online rumors that she’s preparing for a shotgun wedding.

In other words, because Jessica looked plumper in the pics and even seemed to be going out of her way to hide her body with an oversized bag, people started talking about how she was with child.

“The timing of their engagement was suspect from the start. And they have only been going out for about six months (what’s the rush, guys?),” E! Online also says.

“Then there’s the matter of those airport shots, which no one would ever accuse of being particularly flattering to Jessica Simpson's otherwise lovely (and perfectly normal-sized) lady lumps,” the e-zine further notes.

Jessica also canceled a performance on CBS’ Early Show citing an indisposition that sounded very much like a serious case of morning sickness, E! goes on to say.

To keep rumors in check, the e-zine managed to get a hold of someone from the Simpson camp and, as per the words of an unnamed insider, Jessica is not pregnant.

“She is not pregnant,” the spy says, very straight to the point. However, that doesn’t mean she’s not trying for a baby, since it’s a well known fact that she’s always thinking about the joys of motherhood.

“She wants to have a baby. Like, really, really wants a baby. She’s been giddy with her friends and that’s the extent of the planning, but she’s thinking baby,” the same spy reveals.

However, while she didn’t perform on the Early Show, Jessica was more than happy to talk about that much-mediated engagement ring she got from her man Eric, as the video below will confirm.

Amidst reports that she paid for the sparkler with her own money, the star gushed about the “best man in [her] life,” showed off her ring and went into minute details of the proposal and how she was so shocked about it that it took her about 5 minutes to realize what had just happened to her.
