Jessica Simpson Is Getting Ready to Announce Pregnancy

It shouldn’t be long now: Jessica Simpson, reportedly pregnant with her first child, has begun telling friends and family the happy news. The official announcement will also be made in the press soon, it has emerged.

Though Jessica and fiancé Eric Johnson are keeping mum on the topic of pregnancy, sources close to her are telling Radar Online she’s now readying the announcement, which should drop in the following days.

“Jessica Simpson is preparing to announce to the world that she is pregnant,” Radar Online writes, citing unnamed but reportedly reliable sources close to the star.

“After weeks of is-she-or-isn’t-she speculation, a source close to Jessica’s 32-year-old and fiancé Eric Johnson revealed: ‘It’s still early in the pregnancy, and Jessica has decided to wait before sharing her happiness with her fans’,” the same e-zine writes.

“But she has begun telling family and friends the exciting news,” the insider explains.

If Jessica is pregnant as speculation has it, then she must have already instructed her future father in law, Eric’s father, to keep mum on the topic, because he won’t say a peep about it.

However, he does say that reports that the wedding is off are untrue: the only reason Eric and Jessica haven’t tied the knot just yet is that they couldn’t find the time to plan the ceremony.

“I wish it would happen! It is just a matter of logistics. They have had so much to do,” he tells Radar.

As we also informed you a short while ago, word in the blogosphere has it that Jessica and Eric are not getting married at all, since they’ve come to realize they weren’t really made for each other.

There’s been a lot of strain on their relationship, insiders say, and the news of the pregnancy just added to that.

Right now, the two have postponed the wedding indefinitely but, as per the unnamed spies, it will most likely not take place at all.
