Jessica Simpson is getting ready to finally tie the knot with baby daddy / fiancé Eric Johnson, after putting off the wedding twice when she became pregnant. With a date set for July 4, the former pop star turned successful businesswoman is hard at work – and it shows.

Above is a photo Jessica posted to her Instagram last week. If you can get past the awkward posing with that golf club, you will surely notice that Jessica’s body is back to her “Dukes of Hazzard” days, when she was at her fittest and thinnest.

Life & Style magazine writes in its latest issue that Jessica weighs a mere 110 pounds (49.8 kg) and that she feels more confident than she ever did. This new figure did not come without sacrifices, insiders reveal for the publication: she’s up on the treadmill for about a couple of hours a day, in addition to her regular workouts.

Jessica trains with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak 3 to 5 times a week. Regardless of whether she goes to the gym or not, she makes sure to burn extra calories on her own as well: she’s up on the treadmill to walk 6 miles (9.65 km) every day.

“She’s incredibly proud of the way she’s stayed on track,” a source reveals for the publication. “She’ll watch TV on it, talk on the phone. Jess probably spends half the day there.”

“Jessica has gotten her best body ever. She truly feels like she’s in better shape than she was in her early 20s,” adds another inside source.

Jessica has been a spokesperson for Weight Watchers since before her second child was born, signing up for the program in a bid to shed the weight from her first pregnancy; she is still on the program to this day.

When she started seeing results, which coincided with the moment she began making TV appearances to push the program as per the agreement, Jessica credited not just the actual food for her weight loss but also the support she got from the community, saying it helped her stay on the narrow path.

In the same breath, she thanked fiancé Eric Johnson for being her rock throughout it all, the one who kept her motivated and was understanding when she couldn’t push herself anymore.

Jessica and Eric have been engaged since November 2010, with Eric popping the big question just 5 months after they started dating, with a gorgeous ruby ring. All wedding plans were put on hold when Jessica became pregnant with daughter Maxwell.

After the birth, Jessica set out to get back in shape in order to look perfect on her wedding day but she had to cancel plans once more after becoming pregnant again – by “accident” is how she described it. Son Ace was born 6 months ago.
