Jessica Simpson is about 6 months pregnant and, though it shows in every inch of her body, she is adamant she will not wear maternity clothes. However, for other ladies out there, she has just the thing: she's coming out with her own line.
Walking the red carpet the other day to promote her latest show, a fashion show called “Fashion Star” and also starring Nicole Richie, Jessica looked stunning in a fitted, strapless, sparkly black dress.
She also rocked spiked Louboutins which were, useless to note, sky-high.
Speaking with reporters about her choice for an outfit, Jessica stressed that she wasn't yet buying maternity clothes, presumably because the array of options to choose from wasn't really that varied.
“I buy bigger sizes, which is very important, but I haven't really gone to maternity clothes because I don't really love maternity stuff,” she said.
She then added that she wanted something different for other pregnant women and that she would come out with a line of maternity wear sometime in the future.
“The next thing you will see from the Jessica Simpson Collection is maternity,” Simpson said.
She wasn't joking either. In a recent interview with E! Online (video below), Jessica revealed plans to come out with a fashion line for pregnant women.
She said her motivation for designing it came when she realized that her choices included either looking like a house or looking acceptable but not at all fashionable.
Because she didn't want other women to go through the same, she came up with her own line – which would go on sale as early as February, she revealed.
