Jessica Simpson Confirms She's Pregnant

This has been one of the industry's worst kept secrets, but having it confirmed doesn't make it less of a joyous occasion. Jessica Simpson has confirmed she's pregnant with her first child on her official page.

Instead of going down the traditional celebrity route of showing off her baby bump in the pages of a magazine and releasing an official statement, Jessica chooses to make her announcement on her webpage.

Dressed up for Halloween as a mummy, the singer is seen cradling her protruding tummy, while the headline screams “It's true, I am going to be a mommy!”

The star has also confirmed the news to OMG Yahoo! News, just in case some of her fans might be misled to believe the announcement on her webpage was a Halloween hoax or something.

“After weeks of speculation, Jessica Simpson has finally confirmed the news that everyone has been waiting for – she's pregnant!” OMG writes.

“And since she decided to make her big announcement on Halloween, the 31-year-old singer thought it would be cute to dress up as a mummy (get it?) for the occasion and show off her baby bump in this exclusive photo she shared with omg!” adds the e-zine.

The photo shows Jessica in the same mummy costume, but, this time, she's joined by her fiance Eric Johnson – and the cutest dog ever.

“Family portrait,” Jessica writes of the photo on her Twitter page.

“Both Jessica and her fiancé, former pro football player Eric Johnson, whom she began dating in May 2010, are reportedly thrilled to be expecting their first child,” OMG writes.

As of now, the two have not announced a wedding date. As a matter of fact, not even when they confirmed the engagement did they say whether they had set a date or not.

However, since Jessica is now pregnant – and will reportedly be giving birth early in 2012 – it is believed the two parents-to-be will put off the wedding until the child is born.

Word online has it that they're expecting a baby girl, which is truly like a dream come true for Jessica, who has been eager to have a daughter.
