Actress and singer Jessica Simpson and hubbie singer Nick Lachey, have recently decided to go to on an Italy romantic trip, in an attempt to save their marriage.

The Hollywood couple has been desperately trying, during the last three weeks, to deny rumors about them splitting up or about Lachey's infidelity, with college student Danielle Calo and best pal Chad Leslie's girlfriend.

Now, according to Pearlman, the representative of Lachey's friend and former 98 Degrees bandmate Jeff Timmons, revealed that the couple went to Italy, in a desperate attempt to save their marriage.

As Pearlman tells America's Star magazine, "Timmons says Nick told him, 'My marriage is shaky right now. I'm hoping this trip will turn things around. This trip could be a second honeymoon - or preparation for a divorce.
I don't know what's going to happen, and Jessica doesn't know what's going to happen, but we're going to give it our best shot.'"

The pair's spokesperson denied all the allegations, claiming the couple will not split up. Simpson and Lachey's third-year wedding anniversary is on Wednesday.
