Rumors about singer Jessica Simpson and her husband Nick Lachey splitting up spread into the media after Jessica was spotted alone at two different events, without wearing her wedding ring.

The online bookies didn't miss their chance to play the odds on their websites, inviting the gamblers to bet if the famous couple separated or not.

Gambling911.com's owner A.J. Benza (the one time host of "E!'s Mysteries and Scandals") reported weeks ago on Nick and Jessica's solo public appearances.

"Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson continue to lie to the American public, even while they got together to sing "America the Beautiful" before Sunday's Washington Redskins-Chicago Bears game," Benza wrote in his weekly The Great Indoors column for Gambling911.com.

"America might be beautiful, but there is nothing beautiful about the state of the alleged singers' marriage. Nick showed up at the Stuff Style Awards in Hollywood the other night with a gang of hot girls, one of which admitted to a friend of mine that the newlyweds had literally not seen each other since the MTV Video Awards on Aug. 28."

Gambling911.com believes that the first online bookmaker to post odds on Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey splitting up will list "Yes" as the favorite.

"We also anticipate a number of connected props odds. Anything from What will ultimately be listed as the Cause for Separation and/or Divorce, to Who Gets the House.
It would not surprise any of us to see odds on a pregnancy thrown in for good measure with a sub wager of whether or not it is his."
